Are you experiencing slow response time with your BB? Is it running sluggish lately? Do you hate doing a Batt Pull to make it run faster?

I got this tip from a friend, and I did notice a significant improvement. Try pressing and holding the “alt” key and then press sequentially keys “L” then “G” then “L” then “G”. It will then show the log screen.

Press the BB button and Choose “Clear Log”. It will clear your phone’s log entries (it is like your phone’s logbook where it logs all the activities that transpired on your phone, well that is the idea) thus freeing up the memory and in turn making you phone run faster without the annoyance of the Batt pull.

Disclaimer: I have not encountered any problems/issues with doing the clear log. Do it at your own risk.

I have been a user of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 for four months now and I believe it is ample time to give it some review.

My main use is email since at my workplace we have systems implemented that send out automated emails for certain metrics that we need to monitor on a real time and semi real time basis. This gives me some flexibility to be off my desk and attend to meetings without missing important emails. Urgent client emails can be answered as soon as possible.

I can say that I have not yet maximized the use of this phone’s other features. Here’s a round up on what I do with my smartphone. Do note that I am subscribe to an unlimited Data plan, if you are not, heavy data usage may incur you huge amount in your bill.

1. Email (of course, it’s a BlackBerry)
2. Call and SMS (of course, it’s a cellphone)
3. GPS, during out of town trips Google maps is very handy. Given that you have at least a GPRS signal.
4. News, I use Viigo. With default settings you can read news from various sources. With some setup, you can have local news (Inquirer and Manila Bulletin)
5. Read reports on MS Excel, they come in as attachments. No need to open my computer for quick report reading.
6. Photos, quick photo taking. Reference, evidence, and etc.
7. Browsing, it’s internet on the palm of your hands. Need to know movie schedules? Reviews of product you intend to buy out of impulse, browse anything that can be found on the internet.
8. Calendar, helps out organize my schedule.
9. And of course BBM! A BlackBerry is nothing without it.
10. Skype and Live messenger, I need not elaborate. Other IMs are supported as well.

These are the top usage of my BlackBerry, but not limited to the list.

It’s a must have for those who need (also want?) to be always connected.

To summarize, it’s a huge leap from the average cellphone with all it’s features. It’s not a phone for everyone since others may prefer iphone or android.

The picture conveys the message better than words.

Two dogs in a bag! These pups are for sale in a market fair. They are comfortably contained in their cuddle bag. Bag not for sale.

I wonder whose foot would fit into this sandal. The one below is already a size 10.
